Boiler Plan, an innovative home heating expert, has appointed a new sales and operations director to support the company’s future growth strategy.
Paul Bent joins the independent Cramlington-headquartered business from British Gas, where he spent more than 16 years, rising to a senior level within both the operations and commercial departments
Paul, who was responsible for generating growth and driving multi-million pound sales revenues, will head up its national operational and sales teams delivering new boiler installations, boiler servicing and repairs.
The company has undergone a period of rapid expansion since it was formed five years ago and currently covers around 70 percent of the UK.
Paul’s main aim is to increase sales, expand the growing maintenance and repairs service and position Boiler Plan as a nationwide provider. To achieve this, he intends to build upon the success of its digital sales platform and improve the already high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
Managing director Ian Henderson founded Boiler Plan to change the way boilers are sold and installed – recognising that many householders are unable to meet the significant upfront cost of having to replace a boiler.
Instead, it offers a range of affordable repayment plans. Its most popular option means that the monthly repayment is offset by the energy savings delivered by a new generation of energy efficient boilers – making it a cost-neutral purchase.
Paul, who started his career as an apprentice gas engineer, said: “I was impressed by Ian’s entrepreneurial skills and his ability to disrupt the market with an innovative and customer-focused business model.
