Common problems
Sometimes boilers have issues, we all have our off days. So, we’re here to let you know a list of common problems that you can fix at home or can be sorted by one of our gas safe engineers quickly.
- Radiators failing to reach temperature – this could be the result of too much air in the heating system.
- Low pressure – characterised by an E119 error code, this could be an indicator of a leak in the system. Low pressure can also be seen on the pressure gauge, with the needle pointing to a value of less than 1. A value of 1.5 is ideal.
- No hot water – if your taps are running cold, this could be a fault in the diverter valve.
- Frozen condensate pipe – if your system displays an E133 error code, this could indicate a frozen condensate pipe. These pipes run outside and risk freezing in winter, causing lockouts.
- Boiler keeps turning off – this may be caused by many issues, including low water pressure, thermostat problems, or a lack of water flow
